Start your job searchA Construction and Project Management Business based in central London is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Manager to join their fast pace finance division.
The successful applicant will be responsible for Responsible for maintaining the supplier ledgers for European entities, documenting and implementing new AP processes with a view to improve internal control framework, owning the process for payment of supplier invoices, reviewing and submitting urgent payment requests as required, managing the master data for suppliers as well as managing the Credit Card platform, ensuring high level of control and support. You will have responsibility for employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policy, driving the performance of a small AP team of 3, including goal setting, performance measurement, appraisals and training. You will also help in defining and improving the systems and controls for the business as well as ensuring that processes are efficient and effective, maintain a good relationship with vendors and ensuring an exceptionally high level of service, review and approve prepared documents on our accounting systems, ensuring high level of accuracy and complete supplier statements and reconciliations as required.
Ideally this candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years' of experience working in accounts payable with previously experience in managing a transactional team. Construction/Property background is preferred but not essential. Candidates must have strong knowledge of debits and credits and good organization skills with the ability to identify and solve problems. Previous experience using MS Dynamics Navision is beneficial.
