Marks Sattin are currently working with a rapidly growing PE backed Construction business based in Knaresborough for the role of Accounts Payable Manager!

The company has seen turnover double year on year up to date, and now looking for an experienced AP Manager to implement new processes/systems while overseeing a Purchase Ledger team of 6. The AP team currently process around 2000 invoices per month on average which will increase significantly over the next year or 2.

Ideally, candidates will have experience within construction, business start-ups and also have strong cash management experience!

For this role, the company will pay up to £40,000 plus bonus.
They will also allow candidates to work from home 1 day a week.

Responsibilities of this role include:

Oversee the maintenance of an accurate and up to date Accounts Payable ledger.

  • Ensure all supplier queries are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work with Procurement department to ensure appropriate terms are negotiated and adhered to.
  • Work with Procurement and Quality departments to develop supplier management capabilities within the ERP system.
  • Identify improvements that can be made to the AP process to increase efficiencies in working practices and the management of working capital.
  • Manage AP team.
  • Ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose.
  • Manage delegation of authority
