Marks Sattin Recruitment are currently looking to hire a professional, analytical, robust and reliable Assistant Accountant for our manufacturing focused client based in Birmingham.

Ideally you will be part-qualified, pursuing your CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA qualification.

Responsibilities include -

• Assist the FM in the preparation of the month end accounts.
• Analyse the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially relating to financial metrics such as revenue, gross margin, overheads, and EBITDA.
• Analyse contract margins against budget/forecast by contract.
• Provide the data to facilitate the forecast and budgeting process.
• Reconcile commercial reports with financial reports.
• Closely monitor client receipts, debtors and retention balances by client.
• Ensure the tender costs are transferred to the contract costs and challenge/verify as appropriate.

Requirements -

• Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
• Advanced/good analytical and Excel modelling skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• An understanding of business metrics such as Gross margin, revenue recognition, cost analysis.
