An inovative and growing manufacturing company is looking for an Assistant Accountant on a temp to perm basis.

The company is based in a village near Waterlooville, and work to a hyrbid model of 3 days per week in the office.

You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to access the office as public transport is limited.

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Daily posting of bank transactions
  • Reconciliation of bank account and other balance sheet accounts
  • Maintaining debtor's control, deal with invoice and payment queries and to chase overdue payments
  • Assisting with management of purchase and sales ledgers ensuring accurate and timely recording and processing of information
  • Assisting with creating and maintaining supplier account details and reconciliation of supplier statements as required
  • Processing general ledger, fixed assets and cash book transactions (Weekly reporting of store petty cash, allocation of petty cash and credit cards as and when required
  • Supporting month end procedures ensuring timely completion of tasks to facilitate accurate reporting

The ideal Assistant Accountant will:

  • Have previous experience in an Accouts Assistat role
  • Solid experience of using MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Have experience of using accounting software (ideally Sage)
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills

You must have a notice of 2 weeks or less to be considered for this role!
