If the answer to those three questions is yes, then we have the role for you!

I am currently working with a large UK Pension Fund. It is a private pension scheme that aims to serve employees within the higher education sector, this includes research institutions as well as universities. They have advised me that they are looking to hire an Assistant Company Secretary to work in their growing team.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working as part of a team and either ICSA qualified or currently in the middle of qualifying. The role will be based in their London Office and be under the hybrid working model.

You are:

  • ICSA Qualified or currently qualifying
  • An excellent communicator who can demonstrate initiative whilst showing a proactive attitude
  • Organised and experienced in engaging with Board members and Committee chairs
  • Experienced within a regulated environment, preferably within pensions
  • Knowledgeable of governance best practises and legislation relation to pensions.
  • Able to build relationships with clients



Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Company Secretaries with their administrative and operational tasks
  • Providing company secretarial services including maintaining proper records
  • Taking minutes of meetings and ensuring follow up actions are made
  • Prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and annual general meetings
  • Scheduling of meetings, including ensuring registers are taken and apologies are noted
  • Draft resolutions, and lodge required forms and annual returns with Companies House
  • Ensure that the Companies' policies are kept up to date and approved by the committee
  • Keeping up to date with current legislation and ensuring that the Company is complying with current regulations.
