Really excited to be partnering with a market leader in their field to support them recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team.

Reporting into a high calibre FC, duties will include:

• Preparation of period end journals
• Preparation of analysis and commentary and key account balances for assistance with period end close
• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal and external reporting requirements ensuring fit for auditing purposes
• Preparation and delivery of cost centre decks for reporting to heads of functions to required timescales including commentary on actuals and analysis trackers
• Assist with year-end statutory account and audit process
• Assist with corporation tax computations and associated analysis for external tax advisors
• Assist with preparation of quarterly VAT returns including compliance with all relevant HMRC requirements and payments
• Completion of confirmation statements for entities ensuring full compliance with Companies House filing requirements
• Assistance with employment tax related matters - P11Ds and PSA reporting
• Support with weekly short term cash flow reporting preparation

Key competencies will include:

• Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA)
• Competent, conscientious, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently across multiple teams, an excellent Team Player
• Tenacious attitude with a proactive approach and able to work independently
• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
• Previous track record of working to deadlines and self-starter
• The ability to prioritise and change priorities at short notice
