Start your job searchFinancial Reporting and Analysis:
- Production of monthly flash, accounts, and other business reporting.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
- Provide guidance on financial planning and forecasting.
- Track and report on budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
- Implement efficient cash management policies.
- Identify opportunities to optimise working capital.
Strategic Projects and Wider Business Involvement:
- Lead and contribute to strategic business projects, ensuring financial considerations are integrated.
- Participate in non-finance related projects, such as insurance and vehicles, providing financial expertise and oversight.
- Improvement in Foreign Currency purchasing and planning.
Tax, Payroll and Compliance:
- Oversee the payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure VAT and Tax returns are done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work alongside external accountants during the year-end accounting process.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with senior managers in other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and Efficiency.
- Develop PowerBI and SQL Reporting- full training will be given
- Provide financial insights to support departmental initiatives.
- Drive efficiencies and automation within the accounts team.
- Highlight areas for revenue and cost improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Studying for an Accounts Qualification - CIMA, ACCA
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Sage, Microsoft Packages, Advanced Excel
- Ability to drive efficiencies and automation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in business partnering.
Salary and Benefits:
- Up £47,000 per annum
- Study Support ACCA/CIMA
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (1 Additional Day at 2nd,4th, and 5th completed years of service)
