Commercial Manager - Project Implementation - North Dublin

Unique opportunity for a Commercial Manager with a strong Projects background to join this growing Pharmaceutical consultancy firm based in Dublin.

This position is one with great autonomy with a small team currently place seeking a Commercial manager to lead, develop and strategically position the Project implementation team.

About the Role….

  • To manage the daily client service needs and service delivery operations, including enquiry management, project planning, project initiation, project delivery and project close activities.
  • To lead sales calls with potential clients, identify opportunities and influence clients to receive and evaluate a bid.
  • Prepare, review or approve commercial contracts with clients.
  • To mentor the Project Management team to develop its relationship management and implementation skills.
  • Be accountable for, and report on, sales activities to the management team.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and liaise with country and corporate Business Development teams accordingly.
  • Ensure that sales documents are compelling and persuasive, and that client value is maximised
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or individual sales agreements with clients to ensure that interests are robustly represented during the negotiation process. This includes understanding which contractual clauses are 'critical' from those that are 'preferred'.
  • Ensure that all template sales documentation is maintained up-to-date through continuous improvement.
  • Prepare or approve project budgets with stakeholders.
  • Assess project budgets from a client perspective and consider whether an alternative approach may result in a more favourable sales outcome.
  • Ensure that project budgets meet country and corporate requirements regarding profitability.
  • Identify potential risks and propose / implement risk mitigation actions as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have gained at least 5 years Commercial Management experience and will be tertiary qualified to ideally level 9. You will possess strong numeric capabilities and will have been involved with multiple projects to date across the commercial sales cycle.
