Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team at a leading fintech electronic money institution based in Amsterdam. This role is crucial in ensuring that their operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Monitor and report on compliance issues, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance management.
Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and ensure all documentation is audit-ready.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field (a master's degree or professional certification such as CAMS or ICA is preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably within an EMI or similar institution.
In-depth knowledge of Dutch and EU financial regulations, including AML/CTF requirements.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and manage compliance risks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with regulators and senior management.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
