Cyber Security Lead / Manager



A pan UK real estate services company is looking to hire a Cyber Security Lead / Manager on a permanent basis to help support and define all aspects of Cyber Security for the organisation.



This pivotal role will require the individual to have sound knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, requirements and standards, as well as standard operating procedures and standards for information security.



With a team of 2 people to manage, this person will also need to understand digital technologies and must oversee a variety of cybersecurity and risk management activities related to information security to ensure the achievement of business outcomes where the business process is dependent on technology.



This is a mainly remote role and the successful individual can be based anywhere in the UK, with the need to go into the London office only once a month.



Key Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a Cyber strategy with a roadmap reflective of the everchanging security and technology landscape.
• Manages the Cyber incident response process, involving detecting, analysing, and responding to security alerts using both on-premise and cloud security monitoring tools, and documenting all incidents appropriately.
• Performs forensics activities where required within the Cyber incident response process, utilising standard industry tools.
• Resolves security tickets. This includes providing support to other functions (e.g. People and Information Governance) where required.
• Attends change advisory board and technical design authority and provides input where Cyber expertise may be required.

Main Experience

• Proven experience in a lead Cyber Security role and working in security operations
• Is able to define and contribute to Cyber Security strategy and create road maps
• Experience of managing of major incidents
• Excellent knowledge of intrusion detection (deep TCP/IP knowledge, and Cyber security), various operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (focusing on internet security)
• Ability to read and understand packet level data intrusion detection and prevention and network security products (IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc), host security products (HIPS, AV, scanners)
• Proficiency with various security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS, endpoint protection c.)
