Finance Operations Analyst

Manchester

£35,000 - £42,000 per annum

My Manchester based client are seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the reconciliation of complex self-bill clients, ensuring the accuracy of billing processes, and supporting the team with comprehensive reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed reconciliations for self-bill clients, ensuring all transactions are accurately matched and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain and update reconciliation records, ensuring all client accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of client billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct thorough data checks to validate the accuracy of billing information before finalization.
  • Generate and analyse financial reports for management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Support the finance team in meeting data requirements by collecting, organizing, and analysing large datasets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by performing regular quality assurance checks.
  • Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Operations, and IT to gather necessary data and ensure seamless integration of financial information.
  • Support cross-functional projects that require financial analysis and input.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing and reconciliation processes, implementing best practices where applicable.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on reconciliation, billing, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
