Finance Business Partner - Real Estate Project

Central London | £70,000-£80,000 | 12-Month FTC (Temp to Perm)

A global real estate group is seeking a qualified Finance Business Partner to join their EMEA property finance team. This role plays a key part in the integration of a newly acquired portfolio of real estate assets and will suit someone with a strong reporting background and a hands-on approach to project work.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across property, finance, and operations, you'll support everything from lease exits and financial controls to month-end reporting and systems process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own month-end and reporting across EMEA property entities
  • Lead lease accounting (ASC 842) and support lease transitions and exits
  • Review and improve balance sheet reconciliations, controls, and financial integrity
  • Liaise with offshore shared service centre on journal prep, AP/AR, and intercompany
  • Assist in consolidating a newly acquired property portfolio post-merger
  • Drive SOX compliance, VAT, and statutory reporting where required
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting of property operating costs
  • Partner with Facilities, Legal, and Finance teams to manage integration-related change

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / CA or equivalent)
  • Experience in real estate, property, or asset-heavy environments
  • Knowledge of lease accounting (ASC 842, IFRS 16) and controls frameworks (SOX)
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, etc.)
  • Track record of working on finance projects, clean-ups, or post-merger integration
  • Able to operate independently in a lean team and partner cross-functionally
