An 11 million turnover retail business in Malton are looking for a Part-time Finance manager to join them on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be required to get involved in the day to day transactional duties, alongside reporting, management accounts, planning and forecasting and basic payroll amendments.

Duties of the role:

  • Prepare and maintain the weekly cash flow forecast including FX currency forecasting.
  • Monitor and report on departmental forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare recommendations for FX hedging options.
  • Carry out periodic cost saving reviews as appropriate
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to trial balance in line with company deadlines.
  • Regularly monitor and review actual performance and position against budgeted/forecasted.
  • Prepare annual file for external accountants to backup all trial balance numbers.
  • Prepare monthly prepayments and accruals.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting financial records and systems.
  • Make sure all supplier invoices are entered on the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out daily reconciliation of sales revenue streams from the order management system.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure internal financial controls are in place to safeguard the business assets especially around debtors, cash and stock.
  • Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for authorisation by the Managing Director.
  • Ensure the business benefits from maximum early payment supplier discounts.
  • Fixed asset register maintenance.
  • Submit monthly payroll information to payroll bureau and oversee processing.
  • Quarterly VAT returns and other periodic HMRC submissions.
  • Oversee tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Administer auto enrolment process for pension scheme.
  • Effectively provide support to all teams within the business in respect to financial matters and the stock and accounting system.
  • Manage relationships with bankers, external accountants, insurance broker, property agents and IT suppliers and provide information as requested.
  • Attend meetings with the Directors as requested.
  • Foreign exchange providers.

This role will be Part-time around 30 hours a week, but this can be flexible, it is 100% on-site in Malton.

Study support can be given for ACCA/CIMA and people who are qualified by experience will also be considered.

Salary: Up to £55,000 Pro-rota.
