Marks Sattin are currently recruiting a Bookkeeper on behalf of a well-established Financial Services business, based in East Leeds.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, the role will involve working as part of a team to deliver monthly management accounts, management information and performance analysis and year end accounts.

Duties will include however not be limited to; monthly bookkeeping, arranging the authorisation of invoices to be paid, setting up supplier payments, managing the email inbox, producing monthly P&L, liaising with relevant stakeholders at different remote locations as and when required, producing annual accounts, Secretarial duties, quarterly VAT returns and recording and reconciling petty cash.

This is a great opportunity for a an ambitious accountancy candidate who is look to further develop their career and have experience working within an Accountancy practice.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have experience working within an Accountancy Practice - essential
  • Be studying towards AAT or higher - desirable
  • Have the ability work effectively as part of a team, as well as using own initiative
  • Have excellent attention to detail

Salary is up to £27,000 depending on your level of experience

Working hours are 9am-5:30pm or 8:30am-5pm (based on preference)

Hybrid working available - 2 days in the office and 3 days at home
