We are looking for a part qualified Accountant to sit within a team of 3 working for an award winning Bank based in the centre of Reading.

Offering great opportunity for progression these guys are happy to offer full study support, offer a hybrid working set up of 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home, great salary, 10% bonus, 30 days holiday + Bank Holiday and will contribute double your pension contributions.

About the role....

A blended role we are looking for someone that has experience with the month end process, someone used to doing month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and so on.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility over month end processes and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the financial result and reporting to their parent group.

  • Monthly analysis of the income statement and balance sheet for the Group
  • Key contributor to the Group wide, month end and year end close process to ensure all financial controls and processes are in line with the Financial Reporting Framework.
  • Perform month end activities including the posting of month end journals
  • Assisting with reporting and analysis of the Group numbers to the parent organisation on a monthly and annual basis within strict deadlines.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Play a key role in the Annual Statutory reporting for the Group and other Group entities.
  • Ability to work with the wider business with effective stakeholder management and provide expert advice and guidance
