Role - Financial Controller Location - Manchester Salary - Up to £70,000 with additional benefits


Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing/retail organisation in their search for a Financial Controller to work out of their Manchester city centre office on a hybrid working model.


The successful candidate will need to be ACA/ACCA qualified and preferably trained from an accountancy practice. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of consolidating accounts would be preferable. Advanced Excel skills are crucial and any exposure to working with an ERP finance system would be a distinct advantage. Excellent staff management skills are crucial as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. Key duties for the Financial Controller role will involve:

  • Responsibility for balance sheet control
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Review and challenge on capital expenditure programmes
  • Lead on all statutory reporting requirements
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Key contact for auditors and banking partners
  • Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems
  • Management of the finance team


Salary for the role is up to £70,000 benefits
