An excellent senior managerial position within the Private equity section of a global organisation based in Kildare. 11 month contract with high day rates on offer. The position interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally, therefore exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. Experience in team leadership/management is essential for the position. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing client relationships and managing and directing the overall accounting and administration for several client sponsored investment funds.

Duties will include:

  • Applies generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to prepare income and balance sheet statements and various other accounting statements and reports
  • Reviews journal entries, performs reconciliations, and performs account analysis
  • Audits various records to verify accuracy
  • Manage day-to-day communications with contacts of one or more clients, including investment professionals, client personnel, investors, attorneys, auditors, bankers, etc
  • Direct and/or indirect management and supervision of all subordinate staff levels
  • Full review of accounting and tax work paper packages, financial statements and other reports and communications for one or more clients
  • Coordinate and liaise with other operating groups (investor communications, financial reporting, tax, etc) to ensure effective communication among operating groups

The successful applicant will have:

  • A college degree (accounting degree strongly preferred; business, mathematics, finance or economics degree required)
  • 5 or more years of previous accounting experience, including 1 to 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure.
