We are currently working with a highly regarded Global real estate investment manager, continuing to build out their London fund finance function. Closing some of the most successful deals in 2022, they are looking to build on their success, and this hire is instrumental.

They seek a seasoned real estate Fund Controller to take on all controllership responsibilities, including financial and management reporting, whilst also dealing with investors and getting involved in new and exciting deals.

This real estate fund manager has multiple investment strategies in various real estate sectors (logistics, student accommodation, build to rent, office, later living), with a head office in Mayfair. Responsibility

  • Responsible for the financial operations of a close-ended fund, working closely as part of the dedicated resource to achieve the ambitious scale targeted.
  • Management of external administrators in the preparation of all financial reporting, including the production of financial statements and quarterly reports, including industry standard NAV's (INREV);
  • Management of the annual audit process;
  • Working closely with the portfolio manager and investment professionals during the acquisition, hold and disposition process;
  • Management of quarterly distribution process to the investors;
  • Provision of Fund performance analysis for marketing documents and bespoke investor due diligence questionnaires (PPM, DDQ's, LPA's).

Person Profile

Ability to work effectively and co-operatively both individually and as a team player;

  • Proactive in managing priorities and work streams
  • A thoughtful and effective approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail;
  • Think creatively to identify opportunities to strengthen existing systems and controls;
  • 5+ years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent);
  • Have an understanding of Limited Partnership Agreesadasdasdasdasdasdments and waterfalls as well as NAV calculations;
  • Experience producing industry-standard NAV's (e.g. AREF and/or INREV) and time-weighted return metrics;
  • Experience with Lux GAAP & IFRS;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills (Excel, Power BI);
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive projects forward;
  • Be able to identify development opportunities,
  • Set high-performance standards and work commercially within their role.
