My client is a well-respected and successful Real Estate Investment Manager based in the Soho area of London.

They are looking for an experienced Real Estate Fund controller to come onboard ASAP for an initial 3-month paternity cover contract. They have also just won some new business so there may be an on-going need after the initial 3 months.

Main duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Production or oversight of Statutory Reporting, Investor Reporting, Board Papers, NAV Calculations, Income Distribution Calculations and Income Tax and VAT Returns for the UK, Luxembourg and Jersey Real Estate Funds or Special Purpose Vehicles.
  • Ensure that appropriate records are maintained for entities and underlying assets.
  • Oversight of third party service providers.
  • Transaction support for acquisitions with potential tasks including assisting with the structuring advice, set-up of investment structures in accordance with tax advice, creation of new entities and close liaison with investment team.
  • Operational support for the set-up of new structures.
  • Present information to the Boards /Operating Committees.
  • Supervision/ line management to more junior members of the team.
  • Oversight of and involvement in invoice authorisation and cash management operations.
  • Ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with at least 3-4 years post qualified experience as a Fund Controller/Senior Fund Accountant within Real Estate.
