This firm is a highly regarded real estate investment manager with a multi-billion AUM across UK and Europe, they are one of the market leaders in real estate.

They now seek a qualified accountant with strong experience in the system Yardi.

Role:

• Be the Yardi and technology SME lead for the Fund operations team
• Drive and implement the overall Technology Strategy, with particular focus on the Yardi Strategy, working close with the wider Fund Operations Teams, which are spread over a number of geographical locations.
• Establish protocols for the ongoing administration of the technology systems, including Yardi, within the Fund Operations team
• Establish training protocols for usage of yardi and other databases as required. This may involve participating in and overseeing the delivery of training
• Retain overall responsibility for data governance within the Fund Operations team and establish and implement ongoing processes and procedures, ensuring that they are appropriately documented
• Refine existing procedures/practices and processes including implementing changes to working practices (with specific focus on better utilising yardi functionality) and procedures so as to improve individual/team performance and efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Take responsibility and manage the remediation works required to onboard AUM to Yardi, improve operating processes and align with best practice, utilising Yardi or other technology tools
• Manage, collaborating appropriately with business owners, the technology aspects of onboarding new mandates /new service providers
• Asist with integration issues arising after acquisitions of corporate businesses, including working with local finance functions to properly embed processes
• Provide supervision (and potentially line management of BAU functions) to more junior members of the team and contribute to the overall Management of the department, including supporting the Head of Operations with achieving strategic objectives
• Complete other ad-hoc projects and tasks from time to time

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Typical educational requirement: - Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Be fully conversant with all major aspects of the Real Estate Fund Accounting/ Administration industry, and be in a position to mentor and guide more junior members of staff
• Strong experience of working with Yardi Voyager
• Experience working with other databases
