Marks Sattin are exclusively recruiting a fantastic new role for a thriving financial services business. They are the leader in the pack in their space and have an influential leadership team.

You will be resposible of leading and developing a team of 6, as well as running the treasury and funding operations and driving digital transformation with new systems and processes in this large treasury function

Based in West Yorkshire, this is a hybrid role and they sport brand new state of the art offices in a prime location

Duties:

  • Manage and lead a total of 6 people
  • Preparation of regular (i.e. weekly and/or monthly, and quarterly) securitisation investor reports, and funding reports
  • Monitoring funding lines and drawn positions, ensuring cash funding is received promptly and administered properly
  • Support the preparation of monthly asset funding strategy
  • Review, investigate and resolve any unfunded vehicles
  • Support team to ensure that all balance sheet accounts and funder reconciliations (for example) are completed properly every month, with variances investigated and reconciled where appropriate
  • Ensure funder ledgers are clean each month
  • Ensure that cash is managed efficiently and effectively across the group
  • Ensure that cash payments and receipts are administered / managed properly (including bank mandates, payment authorities, banking software
  • Proactively review current procedures and implement improvements
  • Assist with various ad hoc finance projects and migration to one asset management platform
  • Co-ordinate and test for upgrades and new functionality in existing systems

The ideal candidate will have

  • Financial &/or management accounting experience
  • Treasury operations experience (funding operations, accounting & control in a treasury environment, cash management)
  • Communication skills
  • Administration and numeracy skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel), ability to adapt to bespoke or new IT platforms and SAS
  • Excellent attention to detail and analysis
  • Understanding of requirements of internal and external stakeholders, e.g. auditors, directors
