My client is a well-established leading global provider for title insurance and settlement services for both commercial and residential real estate transactions. They are regulated by the Prudential Regulation authority & Financial Conduct Authority. You would be joining a small team environment as it is the UK subsidiary of a flagship company with over 100 years heritage.

This position offers an exciting level of variety in the workload, giving the opportunity to get involved in all areas of the business. The role allows for you to be a key player in the business, with a substantial involvement in critical initiatives and projects and the overall strategic game plan.

An ideal candidate will be an England & Wales trained solicitor with circa 8+ years PQE with a proven track record in drafting & negotiating commercial contracts, advisory corporate governance and implementation of new regulations. Experience with managerial & company secretarial duties is valuable.

You would be acting as the keystone member for Legal & Compliance, reporting into the Chief Governance Officer.

Workload would involve:

• Corporate governance
• Implementing new regulations
• Advising Board of Directors on legal & compliance matters
• Drafting & negotiating complex high value legal agreements
• Involved in the company's strategic objectives & the implementation of business plans in order to advance them
• Company secretarial duties to ensure timely compliance with corporate governance & company law
• Leading, motivating and developing a small team
