Group Accountant - International Retailer - Immediate Start - 6 month Contract - Multicurrency & Group Cash Flow Experience

My client is looking for an experienced Group Accountant to join our Group Finance team based in our head office in London. The Group Accountant will be an integral part of the Group Finance team with involvement in all areas of Group reporting.

What you'll do

• Responsibility for managing the Group's multi-currency consolidation process under IFRS.
• Manage production of year end and Group financial statements to meet our external statutory reporting requirements
• Main point of contact for external auditors.
• Responsibility of Group Management accounts pack - including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow and variance analysis
• Responsibility for production of UK subsidiary statutory accounts.
• Support the Group FP&A team with technical accounting areas, such as pensions, IFRS 16, impairment etc.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• Candidates must be qualified ACA/ACCA with post-qualified experience, preferably within a listed business
• Experience of listed company reporting and Group consolidation (multi-currency an advantage).
• Excellent attention to detail, and ability to prioritise effectively, efficiently and most importantly achieve tight deadlines.
• Strong aptitude for IT systems and very comfortable on Excel, able to manipulate and report complex financial data into a reportable format.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK statutory accounts and relevant disclosure requirements, including understanding of IFRS 16.
