Group Accounting Manager

Group Accounting Manager required for an international Bath-based PLC, overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP requirements. Responsibilities

• Overseeing the monthly consolidation of Group results, ensuring accuracy of reported figures.
• Leading on the financial elements of external reporting including the Annual Report and Accounts, full year and half year announcements.
• Day-to-day management of the Group external audit, ensuring the delivery of an efficient process within the required deadlines.
• Developing accounting policies and procedures ensuring they are consistently applied across the Group.
• Leading on all technical accounting matters for the Group, preparing accounting papers where required.
• Driving the development of the Group control environment and monthly financial close process.
• Owning the production of the UK entity statutory accounts.
• Finance Business Partner to a wide range of departments and stakeholders.

Candidate experience

• A qualified accountant with strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and previous management experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
