A growing banking institution are looking for a Group Financial Controller for their expanding Finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a rewarding role where you play a pivotal role in the growth of the bank.

Given the firm's growth and all the upcoming new projects, they are now looking for someone that can lead their Financial Control & Reporting team. Reporting directly into senior management, you will be tasked with the improvement of the finance function as well as providing crucial insights to support decision-making.

You will be involved in projects and have the chance to add your personal spin to them, having a tangible impact on the firm's operations and future plans. Some of your day to day will include:

  • General oversight of financial control activities, including review of month end reconciliations and management of reporting standards under IFRS
  • Formalisation of group accounting policies and procedures including integration of new businesses into the group structure and processes
  • Taking the lead of technical accounting issues. Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and external regulatory bodies
  • Collaborating with the CFO on ad-hoc projects regarding accounting standards, strategy and process improvement
  • Providing key insights to senior management to aid them in strategic decision-making

Experience required:

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE
  • Financial Services experience required, ideally from a FinTech, Banking or Broking background
  • Good IFRS experience required
  • Good management and leadership, with the ability to put forward proposals, come up with new ideas and leading process improvement
