Marks Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a rapidly growing (Buy and Build) listed infrastructure services business that has ambitious plans for fast growth, primarily through M&A. The business is seeking a Group Financial Controller to support the CFO, CEO, and Executive team with their acquisition strategy. Currently in an exciting phase of rapid acquisition and organic growth driven by an effective buy and build strategy, this is a unique opportunity to join a burgeoning business and take a pivotal position in building the finance team and establishing financial systems and processes from the ground up, all while being part of the start-up's buy and build growth journey toward becoming a substantial listed business.

In this dynamic role, the Group Financial Controller will support the business's growth objectives, by supporting the CFO in conducting thorough due diligence and streamlining the integration of newly acquired companies by implementing systems and controls, as well as bringing finance operations in-house across the Group. The Group Financial Controller will also oversee system reviews and management to ensure alignment with the Group's scale and collaborate with the CFO on long-term strategies. Moreover, you will play a key role in continuously enhancing the control environment and risk management framework across the Group and its subsidiaries.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
  • Experience within a group Accounting/Financial Controller role in a commercial Business or an individual who is making a late move out of practice and looking to join a fast growing/ Highly acquisitive business
  • Proven track record in overseeing acquisitions, consolidations, and integration processes.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS
  • Previous experience in implementing and improving systems/processes , is preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, cross-functional environments
  • Proactive with robust analytical skills and effective communication: capable of leading and motivating a team towards significant growth.
  • Willing and able to Travel to acquisition sites (daily travel)
