Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working in partnership with a high growth, family owned business to recruit a Head of Finance at an exciting time in their journey having experienced a sustained period of growth and business diversity. This role is based in Shaftesbury, Dorset and reports directly to the Managing Director with a good blend of financial control, process improvement and strategy.
The role will be paying between £100k and £130k per annum plus Private Medical and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
The Head of Finance Role
Having experienced significant growth during the covid period, this business capitalised on their success by opening new sites and entities to diversify and grow. An exciting period as they look to stabilise ready for another spell of growth, an entrepreneurial mindset is encouraged and a fast paced journey ahead! Managing a team of circa 10 total, you will be hands on in areas of financial control, manage risk and opportunity, drive process improvement including projects and be actively involved in the strategic direction. Key responsibilities include:
- Production of management information and appropriate commentary to aid decision making
- Management and safeguarding of assets
- Cashflow control and forecasting, ensuring robust controls are in place
- Production of annual budget and 5 year plan
- Drive and develop a high-performance finance function
- Provide commercial input and play an active part of senior leadership team
- Wider operational responsibility as expected within a number 1 in finance position
Key Skills and Experience
- Qualified by ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
- Been involved with a high growth business and journey
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of SME world
- Desire to play an active part of the Senior Leadership Team
