Marks Sattin in partnership with our rapidly expanding Banking sector client are looking to recruit a talented Hedge Accounting Manager.

In this role, you will be maintaining the hedge accounting framework for the Group. You will work in partnership with the wider finance functions to support the Group sure that hedge accounting arrangements are fully considered ahead of deal executions. You'll also be a lead in the execution of hedge accounting and month end reporting.

You will be:

  • Taking a lead role in evaluating hedge accounting software/ models.
  • Taking ownership of the hedge accounting software/ models and develop these to meet business needs, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Taking a lead role so that the group hedge accounting reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • Taking a proactive role in the organisation maintaining tight financial control in the group hedge accounting area.
  • Be a confident user of hedge accounting system, treasury management system and general ledger system and ensure a high quality of integrity is maintained in these systems and the underlying accounting records.
  • Produce accurate, consistent, quality and timely reports on the Group's, and individual entities', hedge accounting results.

About you...

  • Experience of interacting with people at all levels in an organisation.
  • Experience of working in a similar environment in a financial accountant role.
  • Confident user of financial systems.
  • Experience of involvement with process improvement projects and establishing good working controls.
  • Knowledge of IAS, IFRS and Regulatory Framework relevant to the role is essential.
  • Robust knowledge of Hedge Accounting processes and systems.

A base salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience
