An exciting service lead business in Horsforth are looking for a management accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

This role is best suited to a Part-qualified accountant who has a great base knowledge of management accounts.

Duties:

• Preparation of the monthly accounts. It will require hands on detailed involvement to produce the final accounts with variance analysis and reporting to the Financial Controller
• Support to be provided to the wider finance team including accounts and purchase ledger
• Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations and audit checklist preparation
• Manage year-end financial reporting, including preparation of the UK statutory accounts, tax packs and liaising with external auditors during the process
• Assist with preparation of HMRC tax returns and quarterly VAT returns
• Implement process improvements and support the integration of Cognos reporting into the financial reporting of the business.
• Support the FC on ad-hoc work.
• Compliance with the Code of Conduct and other Group Policies
• Participate in risk and compliance reviews to ensure group compliance standards and controls are effective and improved on.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Experience using Sap or another ERP system is preferred.

Study support will be provided for ACA/ACCA/CIMA alongside hybrid working (2 days from home)

Salary: Up to £45,000
