As the business it continues to expand their operations, they are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join our team in this newly created role.

Job Description:

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions critical to our continued success. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate and timely management accounts, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making, and contributing to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
  • Analyse financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting requirements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
