A large Investment Manager based in the City are looking for a Mandate Monitoring Analyst to join their Monitoring team on a contract basis. The successful individual will be covering both pre and post trade mandate monitoring and will gain exposure to both their off shored and outsourced activities. The role will also include some project work towards the development and enhancement of their mandate monitoring processes.
Responsibilities:
- Over sight and assisting the UK Mandate Monitoring Team in covering both pre and post trade mandate monitoring.
- Maintain pre and post trade mandate monitoring restrictions using the 2 relevant monitoring systems. Including: coding or instruction to third parties, review and testing for client take-on, fund launches and IMA amendments.
- Undertake automated and manual exception monitoring pre and post trade where required.
- Identify and manage risks and ensure that adequate control processes exist and operate effectively.
- Provide support to the Front Office on queries relating to pre and post trade rules and exceptions.
- Maintain procedures documents for team tasks as required.
To review and interpret new and amended IMA's / Prospectus' to determine if the rules can be automated.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Good experience in trade compliance monitoring
- Background in Investment Management.
- Strong understanding of compliance monitoring processes including interpretation of discretionary client investment management agreements.
- Detailed knowledge retail funds regulations within the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg
- Experience in BRS Aladdin and/or JPM TRAC is an advantage.
