We are recruiting for an Operational Risk Manager on behalf of a large European corporate banking group, with worldwide jurisdiction.

The position itself will give the successful candidate the opportunity to be paid a competitive salary with the entitlement to an exceptional pension scheme and performance related bonuses while receiving a generous holiday allowance and other exceptional range of benefits.

The successful candidate must have 2+ years of operational risk/ Risk & control or enterprise risk experience within the banking sector.

Hybrid working is on offer (2 days in the office per week).

Examples of responsibilities to expect:

  • Responsible for the management of the operational risk process, ensuring all operational risk issues are identified, logged, and reported in relevant group tools and to key stakeholders and committees.
  • Worked with relevant departments to reduce business risk.
  • Take charge of the operational risk loss reporting process from submission to closure.
  • Manage and ensure RCSA.
  • Take ownership of the Permanent Supervision (PS) process including the management of the Permanent Supervision System (GPS).

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Operational Risk experience within Banking.
  • Asset Finance or equipment finance knowledge/exposure would be a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Commercial minded & business savvy!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams.
