The details
Marks Sattin is currently recruiting for a Pensions Trustee Governance Manager.
This is a great opportunity to provide high-level relationship management, support and guidance service to the Trustee Board, in an effective and efficient manner.
Ideally with an in-depth knowledge of pensions, you will be engaging at board level to help develop and take ownership of the strategic vision as well as Business Plan and values.
Future growth of the role involves liaising with third parties to roll out best practice and extend the pensions knowledge to ensure best practice with a wider audience.
Areas of responsibility:
- To provide a comprehensive Scheme Secretariat service to the Trustee Board, sub-committees and Board working parties.
- To develop and manage the relationship with the Chair of the Trustee Board and Chairs of sub-Committees.
- To develop and recommend the Annual Business Plan to the Trustee Board for approval as well as oversight across the business to drive these innovative ideas.
- To project manage the annual Trustee Board performance appraisal process.
- To establish and maintain a record of policy decisions taken by the Board and its Committees.
- To maintain the Trustee's Governance Document and recommend amendments to the Trustee Board for approval.
- To carry out background research, compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation at Trustee Board, sub-Committee and Working Party meetings according to house style and agreed timetables.
- To maintain company secretarial records.
- To perform all duties in line with the Information Security policy.
- To comply with the Data Protection Policy when dealing with personal data in the course of employment including personal data relating to any employee, customer, client, supplier or agent of the Company.
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:
- Experience of occupational pension schemes.
- You will have the ability to engage with senior board members as well have the confidence in presenting papers and your opinions about the market and current/future regulatory changes.
- A knowledge of pension scheme funding and investment principles
