Start your job searchI am delighted to be partnering with an impressive head of FP&A on their search for a Sales Analyst to join their team. Duties will include:
- Primary support for commercial teams on all aspects of their financial & commercial analysis and reporting including monthly, YoY and R12 comparisons.
- The creation and ownership of channel and product category profitability reporting.
- Assess company budgets to guide investment in marketing and promotions. Examine cash flows and compare them to actual sales results to identify divisions that are not hitting targets.
- Scenario modelling and understanding a "true" cost-benefit of various channels.
- Review the sales commission payments and make recommendations as appropriate
- Improve and analyse sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Access market trends and consumer behaviour to provide actionable insights.
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to the sales and management team.
- Support the commercial team with revenue and gross margin forecasts and projections
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement data-driven strategies.
- Review of the pricing, marketing and promotional strategies and trade shows. Optimize where necessary to enhance profitability.
- Partnering with specialist Data & Insights team to create and develop KPIs and other reporting suites for senior and Board-level management.
Key skills needed for the role:
- High energy and inquisitive mindset
- Adaptability and flexibility working in a fluid, fast-paced environment
- IT literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular MS Excel. PBI experience is preferable.
- Strong analytical skills & very comfortable to manipulate large data sets
- Effective time management and ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at a senior level
