I am delighted to be partnering with an impressive head of FP&A on their search for a Sales Analyst to join their team. Duties will include:

  • Primary support for commercial teams on all aspects of their financial & commercial analysis and reporting including monthly, YoY and R12 comparisons.
  • The creation and ownership of channel and product category profitability reporting.
  • Assess company budgets to guide investment in marketing and promotions. Examine cash flows and compare them to actual sales results to identify divisions that are not hitting targets.
  • Scenario modelling and understanding a "true" cost-benefit of various channels.
  • Review the sales commission payments and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Improve and analyse sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
  • Access market trends and consumer behaviour to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to the sales and management team.
  • Support the commercial team with revenue and gross margin forecasts and projections
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement data-driven strategies.
  • Review of the pricing, marketing and promotional strategies and trade shows. Optimize where necessary to enhance profitability.
  • Partnering with specialist Data & Insights team to create and develop KPIs and other reporting suites for senior and Board-level management.

Key skills needed for the role:

  • High energy and inquisitive mindset
  • Adaptability and flexibility working in a fluid, fast-paced environment
  • IT literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular MS Excel. PBI experience is preferable.
  • Strong analytical skills & very comfortable to manipulate large data sets
  • Effective time management and ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at a senior level
