Responsibilities:

  • Driving reporting processes through effective planning and engagement
  • Consolidation of the Group financial data and generation of Report and Accounts, business commentary, financial statements and corresponding notes and regulatory and narrative reporting.
  • Manage relationship and dependencies on the business units, working with them throughout cycles to ensure timely and good quality delivery into group and to understand the business performance and messaging.
  • Review and challenge of results and messaging; bring business knowledge and sound accounting judgement in ensuring the consistency and robustness of reported numbers, drive the development of key disclosures, including planning for changes in response to business needs or best practice development.
  • Ensure high quality market commentary and messaging in the internal and external documents.
  • Work with business unit teams and AFC to ensure the right level of consistency and quality across disclosures.
  • Oversight of controls to give comfort over the quality and accuracy of Reporting and Accounts and regulatory returns.


Skills & Experience required:

  • Strong financial/regulatory reporting and accounting skills.
  • Insightful at analytical review, results analysis and results commentary for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels and across different geographies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - able to plan, anticipate potential issues and manage different stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Implementation of change and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Systems experience, particularly Excel, Oracle and Magnitude.
  • Production of consolidated Report and Accounts including commentary and internal management analysis.
  • Strong controls mindset with responsibility for operation of financial controls.
  • Leading and managing teams.
