Marks Sattin are working in exclusive partnership with a fast paced and high growth engineering and construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Based near to Yeovil with 2-3 days in the office per week.

This is a great opportunity to join a business striving for success within their field and a chance to really drive your career forward. This role would suit a qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) accountant with existing experience of managing a finance function and a grounding of core management accounting, blend this with a commercial mindset and skills to be on the road to success!

The Senior Management Accountant role will be paying between £65,000 and £75,000 per annum plus market leading benefits!

The Senior Management Accountant Role

A progressive leadership role offering ownership of month end responsibilities whilst supporting multiple areas of the business including information to the senior leadership team to aid decision making.

You will provide key internal stakeholders with monthly and ad hoc reporting alongside completion of statutory requirements with support of an established team. A well-rounded role which has the opportunity to progress swiftly!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of management accounts to full review
  • P&L review with variance analysis to provide insight to key stakeholders
  • Balance Sheet review
  • Own the month end and year end process to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Highlight, implement and drive process improvement opportunities
  • Provide insightful management information

Key Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Desire to deliver best in class processes and offer areas for improvement
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Strong analysis skill set and able to inform decision makers
  • Good technical grounding with financial control areas
  • Desire to progress in a fast paced and forward-thinking business
