A Global Banking Group is looking to attract a Senior Manager (equivalent to SVP level) to their Group Business Analysis and Management Information team, who will report directly in to the Head of Group Business Analysis and Management Information, with a view to taking over their role in 6-12 months time.

This role will involve direct exposure to the Group FD, Global Head of MI, and the Group Chief Accounting Officer. Previous incumbents in this role have generally been promoted within the first couple of years, as these seats are seen as excellent breeding grounds for future leaders of the business, and are very high profile in nature.

The position is focused on delivering high quality, timely, value added analysis and commentary to the Board and Group Executive Committee through high quality communication and analysis, which helps them to make key strategic business decisions and to plan for the future.

The Group Business Analysis team is responsible for all Group level management information, business analysis, business commentary, the Group's segmental data, management reporting policy and "management discussion and analysis" in external documents, such as the interim report. The team is also responsible for all commentary and analysis, and are comprised of business specialists with a thorough understanding of the issues affecting the Bank's performance. The department currently has a significant change agenda underway, and this will drive improvements in reporting, analytics, planning and systems, which will lead to a 'best in class' management reporting and planning at both Group and Regional levels.

Experience required:

- Qualified accountant with significant post qualified experience gained in transaction services or a decision support/management reporting/external reporting role(s) with a global and complex FTSE 100 organisation.

- Excellent academics

- Strong commentary writing ability

- Strong analytical skills with a commercial bias, and an excellent grasp of business drivers

- Good understanding of IFRS
