Senior Tax Consultant - Financial Services - Dublin



Our client, a leading global Capital Markets firm based in Dublin with offices across the US and Europe are keen to secure the services of an experienced Senior Tax Manager who has at least 9 plus years Tax Advisory experience.
The firm are a growing domestic entity here in Ireland and this position will serve their European Funds which have gone from strength to strength over the past 5 years.



The Headlines of the role:

  • Lead Irish corporation tax and VAT returns including any follow ups with service providers and Revenue. All tax returns are prepared by a Big-4 accounting firm.
  • Manage financial statement tax provisioning & liaise with service providers in relation to tax registrations and Revenue notifications for new entities.
  • Oversee international tax compliance including corporation tax, VAT and withholding tax returns. All tax returns are prepared by external service providers and the Dublin office of a Big-4 to assist with managing filing obligations and deadlines.
  • Manage FATCA/CRS classifications, monitoring and filings with the guidance and assistance of an outsourced advisory provider.
  • Liaise with the US tax team on US entity classifications for European SPVs.
  • Monitor the transfer pricing requirements and review documentation for investment structures.
  • Manage the process of monitoring tax filing obligations and deadlines. This will include liaising with service providers in relation to tax filing obligations and deadlines for newly incorporated or acquired entities and ensuring that all entities and deadlines are included on our compliance management database.
  • Management of day-to-day tax positions of companies, including withholding tax, payment of taxes and documentation requests.


This is cracking opportunity to join a Global Capital Markets firm with a decent presence in the Irish market. They have circa $45Bln AUM and continue to grow. The position will have 1-2 direct reports in the Irish office whilst reporting into the Head of Tax in London and the US.


We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager with at least 9 years' experience in the Irish and or European market who has trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 environment. Excellent knowledge of tax and compliance legislation as well as regulations in Ireland is seen as a must for the successful candidate.
