A leading high street retail group are currently looking to recruit within their in-house travel agency on a temp to perm basis. You will have responsibility for the entire back office accounting function of the business as well as the preparation and filing of all regulatory returns. Reporting in to the Group FC and Travel Agency manager duties will include:

Cash management and control including banking, cash flow management, raising cheques and bank reconciliation

Production of hotel commission invoices and tracking and collection of outstanding balances

Maintaining aged debtors and creditors ledgers

Posting transactions to general ledger system (bank payments & receipts, credit card transactions, expense invoices, credit notes, etc.)

Reconciliation of inter-company balances

Preparation of VAT returns

Production of quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts

Running interface between front office (Concord - Traveller) and general ledger (Sage)

Reconciliation of BSP reports.

Preparation of quarterly and yearly ABTA/ATOL returns

Dealing with ad-hoc enquiries

Experience within the travel industry would be preferable and you will be part qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent. Early application is advised.
