Start your job searchMarks Sattin is working with a highly reputable organisation who are recruiting for a UK SOx Controls Senior Manager on a year Fixed Term contract.
In the role you will be providing critical leadership on the internal controls monitoring and for financial processes. You will be playing a leading role in understanding the current maturity of the framework in place and drive ownership and accountability across the different functions.
Your responsibilities:
- Facilitate and drive remediation of identified control weakness working closely with Control Owners, SMEs, IT and FL.
- Working with the business, develop tools and working methods to improve control operation efficiency.
- Identify and implement continual improvement in UK sox compliance process.
- Develop training plans and be a point of contact for control owners on best practise controls design and operation.
- Work closely with the business to assess system and business process changes to ensure appropriate controls are embedded in-to system changes.
- Develop, plan and manage the operation of the controls testing programme over whole lifecycle of internal control testing from evaluation of control design, testing plans, walkthrough of processes, assessing operating effectiveness and control deficiencies, assessing remediation plans and provide objective independent and objective assurance to Finance Leadership on the design and operation of internal controls.
- Help set up and drive a controls compliance operating model.
- Working with Head of Controls & Governance develop a centre of excellence over governance, processes, reporting, training and testing of internal controls.
- Overall help drive improvement in controls maturity and reporting
You will have wealth of SOx experience and be ready to take on a new challenge to help drive a new control environment. Thorough knowledge of corporate governance requirements for large global organisations, including extensive knowledge of SOx best practice and testing and reporting approaches is needed.
