Marks Sattin are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading FMCG business based in Leeds to recruit a new VAT Accountant.

Working closely with the Head of Tax and Group Tax Manager, the VAT Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and submission of the VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales returns of the Group's UK and European entities. The successful candidate will also assist external advisors with ensuring that all VAT obligations are monitored and fulfilled. In addition to the primary VAT duties of the role, there will also be exposure to other areas of tax including corporation tax, employment taxes and plastic packaging tax.

In order to be successful, you will be a qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or tax advisor (ATT/CTA) with a good working knowledge of VAT compliance. Experience of working with SAP is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
