Marks Sattin is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing business within the construction sector based in Doncaster. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced finance team, supporting large-scale projects across the UK and Europe.

They are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day finance function on a standalone basis as they embark on a period of growth.

For this role, our client will offer up to £35,000, Fridays WFH, 31 days holiday (Including BH) and free parking!

The role responsibilities will include:

You'll be involved in all aspects of transactional finance, including:

• Processing supplier invoices and payments
• Managing payroll and ensuring staff are paid correctly and on time
• Maintaining financial records and P&L using Sage
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
• Purchase and sales ledger management
• Supporting month-end and year-end accounts
• Expense analysis and reporting

What You'll Need

• At least 5 years' experience in a finance or accounts role
• Strong working knowledge of Sage
• Confident with Excel and Word
• Good attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• AAT Qualified (Not Essential)
