Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Supervisor - London



Seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Supervisor for a 12 month fixed term contract within Leisure & Hospitality (Restaurants) business based in Central London. In this position you will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and you would be responsible for the day to day management of the AP/AR function. The role oversees one full time Purchase Ledger Assistant and one full time Accounts Receivable Assistant. Responsible for all aspects of both the AP and AR ledgers, you will ensure that our suppliers are paid correctly and on time, their accounts are fully reconciled, and that all funds received into the business are also fully reconciled.



Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the accounts receivable and accounts payable team.
  • Ownership of the AP & AR ledgers
  • Preparation of payments and obtaining the relevant signoff
  • Debtor management, reconciliation & reporting
  • Filing Receivable Finance and Trade Finance submissions
  • Maintaining users and approval hierarchies
  • Resolving queries
  • Bank reconciliation, reporting & journals
  • Involvement in the VAT return process
  • Continually look to improve processes and assist with any improvements made within the team
  • Develop good relationships with key contacts at both internally and externally



Skills and Experience:


  • Experience of working in/with a multi-site environment and ideally in Hospitality/FMCG
  • A full 'hands-on' approach to working with good team working skills
  • Quick learner with a 'can do' and 'let's make it better' attitude
  • Enjoys a fast-paced working environment with the ability to work under pressure
