A leading global asset manager is looking for recently qualified CA or ACA to join its fund of funds business as an Operational Due-Diligence Analyst. This is a rare opportunity to move into a very commercially focused position within the fund of funds industry and become a key member of this team directly supporting investment decisions. Responsibilities will include:
* Planning and coordinating operational due diligence of hedge fund service providers (notably administrators, prime brokers and Non Executive Directors)
* Reviewing hedge funds' legal, financial and marketing information to create and maintain our proprietary database summarizing investment terms
* Reviewing financial statements and verifying the existence and accuracy assets
* Assisting with on-site operational due diligence reviews of hedge funds and presenting the findings to the Investment Committee
* Managing the recording of operational due diligence information and liaising with the middle office to ensure that liquidity and fee terms are accurately accounted for
* Helping prepare the quarterly Operational Due Diligence Board pack including liquidity analysis, stress scenarios and preparing a summary of the Operational Due Diligence activity for the quarter
This is a small team within this global which will see the successful incumbent gain strong investment exposure working closely with the fund managers.
This role best suited to an ACA / CA (or equivalent) who has qualified very recently or is about to qualify. The successful candidate will also have a strong working knowledge of financial services products and likely audited banks, funds managers or equivalent. The firm is a reputable organisation with a large headcount in middle and front office and able to offer excellent long term career potential.
