My client an international syndicate, is looking for a part-qualified ACCA or CIMA to sit within the finance team reporting into the Assistant Corporate Controller. The role will be a fantastic opportunity for an individual to become qualified within the next 1.5 years in a role that will offer them variance within their day-to-day as well as exposure to executive team memebers.

The role will include the following:

  • Manage the accounts payable process and ensure that all invoices/payments from the London entities are paid in a timely manner including any ad-hoc payments such as settle direct payments.
  • Manage the employee expenses process and ensure that employees expenses due are paid on a weekly basis. Also manage the Concur expense system for London including the ordering and management of company credit cards
  • Cash flow - Manage the cash flow for the London entities on a weekly basis ensuring there is sufficient cash to cover short to medium term liabilities
  • Manage the daily cash process ensuring that cash is posted on a daily basis and maintain the reconciliation between the in house (Re)insurance accounting system and the general ledger for the Syndicate
  • Manage the preparation of the monthly bank reconciliations for the London/Dublin entities
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts for the London entities
  • Group reporting - Complete the required reporting for the group on a quarterly basis including variance analysis on expenses
  • Prepare and discuss quarterly expense variance analysis with budget holders
  • Complete a non-technical account analysis for the Corporate Member
  • Managing agent Executive reporting - Prepare the employee expenses report on a monthly basis for the Executive
  • Assist with the year-end accounts for the London entities
