Start your job searchWorking for a Lloyds Syndicate and reporting into the Syndicate Finance Manager, the Assistant syndicate accountant will undertake the lead in all syndicate book-keeping, reconciliation & investment recording.
My client is looking for a part-qualified accountant with Solid understanding of fundamental insurance, as well as experience taking accounts up to trial balance, as well as having a fundamental understanding and experience in Lloyds reporting requirements.
Interpersonally the ideal candidate will be able to consistently work to tight deadlines, possesses adequate initiative in reference to workload and is an overall team player.
Key tasks for the position include:
- Maintain accounting records for managed and outsourced syndicates (as delegated) including completion of the trial balance.
- Assume responsibility for the preparation of reconciliation work e.g. bank balances, LCA balances, overseas deposits and investment accounts
- Assist in the preparation of the Lloyd's returns for review by Syndicate Accountant or Syndicate Finance Manager
- To produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Liaise with management, auditors and external clients as necessary
- Providing assistance on any ad hoc finance projects.
