Business Analyst - Regulatory - Banking

A well established bank is currently recruiting a Business Analyst to work on a regulatory programme that surrounds the Deposit Guarantee Scheme Directive (DGSD). This London based role is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background within the regulatory field on a 3 month contract.

The candidate is responsible for:

  • Analyse and gain high level understanding of the main DGSD themes/rules for the 3rd July 2015 deliverables
  • Business Requirements can be documented when holding DGSD workshops with Compliance, Operations etc
  • Document the decisions taken in the DGSD workshops analyse the interpretation of the rules and the operational impact
  • Document Actions from the DGSD workshops and track the deliverables
  • Document and raise any Risks and Issues to the Project Manager, DGSD Senior Business Analyst
  • Discuss progress with the DGSD Senior Business Analyst on a regular basis
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents
  • Provide guidance if required once the Business Requirements have been documented

The candidate suitability is determined by the following skills set and experience that are detailed bellow:

  • Candidate must have Business Analyst experience, ideally working on regulatory projects within a bank
  • Must have worked for a bank recently
  • Knowledge of Deposit Guarantee Scheme Directive (DGSD), Single Customer View (SCV) or Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) highly desirable
  • Proven ability to read, understand and interpret Regulatory Rules
  • Ability to work with the Banks compliance for clarification and interpretation of rules
  • Experience of working with Operations teams to understand current processes so that DGSD implications can be determined
  • Ability to produce an Operations Business Requirements document
