A leading global energy company is currently seeking a Business Analyst with ETRM experience to be based out of its prestigious offices in London.
The main remit of the role will be to support the wider business in the implementation of IT projects within its trading division and be the link between the business and IT. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring that business requirements are fed back into the project team and converted into functional specifications.
Responsibilities
- Gathering business requirements from users via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards and user case scenarios
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria and metrics.
- Work with stakeholders, project and application maintenance team to prioritise collected
- Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility and conformity to standards.
- Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements
- To be the link between the company's business functions and the IT department to evaluate their needs
Skill & Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Proven track record as a Business Analyst within a trading environment; either commodities or finance focused
- Experience of working with ETRM applications (Energy Trading and Risk Management)
- Knowledge of Aligne or Openlink Endur would be useful but not essential
- Experience of working across the entire project life-cycle
- Hands-on approach
