Marks Sattin are currently working with a York City Centre based organisation to assist in the recruitment of a Business Intelligence Developer. They are reliant on their data, to make informed decisions and understand the effects of past business change and how future change may impact them. This role is to maintain and develop the Data Warehouse and provide MI to ensure ongoing decisions are made effectively and ultimately ensure we remain sustainable.

Responsibilities;

• Gathering, understanding and interpreting business requirements
• Influencing and advising stakeholders, providing recommendations
• Sourcing required data from multiple complex systems and databases (both internal and external)
• Developing ETL processes using Kimball methodology to translate into business friendly terms and populate the Data warehouse
• Developing a simple to understand Business Objects Universe that can be understood and utilised by non-technical power users across the business
• Building reports using Business Objects 4.2, Tableau and creating valuable MI
• Ensuring business users fully understand and have the necessary information to enable critical decision making, supporting delivery of the business plan
