Pivotal new appointment at a medium sized and well known Banking Group for an accomplished CFO. The company are a diversified Banking organisation with a solid presence in the UK and Europe and credible track record of success. They have emerged from the financial crisis with a clear and concise business plan and strategy for growth and have invested heavily in infrastructure and new personnel. Their core business is spread across investment, wholesale and private banking.
The CFO role is a key leadership appointment, member of the ExCo and trusted partner to the CEO. The focus of this role encompasses both oversight of the finance function and reporting deliverables as well as providing input into key commercial and strategic decision making. You'll need to have up to date knowledge of relevant regulatory reporting requirements and be comfortable as the main point of contact for the FCA and PRA. Although the role is highly commercial and business facing, there is a definite need for someone still hands on with the day to day affairs and technicalities of finance.
We're looking for a Qualified Accountant or equivalent with significant post qualified experience in a senior finance leadership role in the Banking sector. Knowledge of banking products, channels and markets is essential and it's likely this has been gained in an investment or wholesale environment at a 'Head of', FD or CFO level. Ideally you'll be coming from a small to medium sized Bank or from a divisional role in a larger player. You'll need to show flair, gravitas and a motivational personality with genuine people skills and a desire to want to motivate and develop a team.
The role is looking to start interviews imminently so please apply online for immediate consideration or for more information or a confidential discussion, please contact Glen Roberts at Marks Sattin on +44 2077479765 or email glen.roberts@markssattin.com
